Easy Setup, Easy Use

I received the bridge, along with my initial 5 lights, one week ago. Installing the lights were as easy as changing a light bulb. The bridge connections were only 2 cables, and the Hue App guided me through setup. Within a few minutes, I was changing color Scenes in my living room with voice command...

Always problematic

This Hub is absurd. Every time Hue pushes out an update, all the lights reset and we have to add them back in. We lose all of our settings, rooms and light scenes. When we contacted Hue customer service about it, they told us it was outside of warranty and would not be replaced (regardless of the fa...

They are supposed to make life easy. But it would quit on me at least twice a month. When I upgraded to the new model it worked for a while and then started acting up again. To much stress. I went to the Hue bluetooth lights and dumped the hub. A shame because it was nice when it was working

Useless for me. I cannot use both the Hue bridge and the Play gradient light strip 75 inch because the necessary HDMI sync box is out of stock and is unavailable everywhere. There is no information anywhere on when it will be available. I have no idea why it is out of stock or how long I have to wait to use products I purchased. I am actively searching for an alternative and will either return or resell both Philips products.

Bridge connected fine to the network...and then recognized exactly zero of my existing lights...which means I will have to try and add each one manually... after I take them out of all the locations in the house and write down their serial #'s... this should be a lot easier.

Update the Bridge already with a bigger one

Need to update the bridge so we can control more devices without it being unresponsive and slow. The app use to be better until a few updates ago, now its really slow to connect and change lights of and on. They also need stand alone color downlight without that socket adapter and just have built in clips like all the new lights. Ok solution if your not doing a whole house. but a whole house you need more that one bridge or hub then run into connecting trouble and switching in and out on the app.

We have bought 2 bridges and numerous philips hue lights and switches. Little did we know. First issue is if you have multiple bridges you have to set up multiple accounts even if they are for one house. Each bridge can only handle 50 lights or less with switches and automatic switches. Next we have a storm the bridges are on surge protectors, but they blow and they are out of warranty so we have to buy 2 new ones. We do. Then try to register them have to set them up first fine. This means we have to unlink every light on the previous bridges and remove them from the account. Then relink every light and switch to the new bridges. Better not forget anything or it's back to the drawing board. This is absurd, why can't you have multiple bridges on one account or maybe hue should make a I don't know jumbo bridge that could handle 100 lights make life easier. Also if one bridge goes why not make it just unhook the old and unlink it link the new one and it picks up everything. I have numerous products that do that. I am sorry, but I was an avid Hue fan before now not so much. Finally when you go for customer support it is obvious it is overseas no true English speakers and I respect these people who are multi-lingual and hard workers but understanding them or the ones I got was difficult sometimes and I constantly had to ask them to repeat themselves. This is not good customer service. When you ask for a supervisor they are conveniently in a meeting.

It clearly states you can control upto 50 lights on one hue bridge. I have 39 and have constant issues. My brother actually had to buy one bridge for each floor of his house. I wish they made Larger one that could control upto 150 lights.. then maybe it would be able to handle up to 80

This is an upgrade from an older unit. It was a little time consuming to set up because it didn't sync with the old one but I got it done. It's been working smoothly for me and the off site settings are very nice.
