Product Description

The A-15 Pilot Watch is inspired by the 1944 Military Issue A-15 Elapsed Time Watch” and incorporates unique features of the original. A stainless steel case with distinctive black dial features two rotating inner discs operated by two crowns. The 2H crown rotates elapsed time while the 4H crown indicates dual time. The unique design of this timepiece, as well as its functional features, are made more authentically with a fine 21-jewel automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. The subtle topstitched brown leather strap completes the look. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Water resistance to 30 meters.

Great reissue! Weak lume

I absolutely love this watch. It is probably my favorite piece out of my whole collection. The only gripe I have with it is the lume is fairly weak for the price point.

Great looking watch that is made well for it's price. I like the features and they are easy to read and use. The time seems a little fast (almost ten seconds) after 24 hours, I'm not sure if that's within range.

Purchased this watch 3 months ago. First time in rotation, it lost 20 minutes over the first day. I set it aside for a month, and tried it again as I love its fit feel and appearance. This second time I wore it, I lost 15 Seconds over the first day. Now it has supplanted my seiko 5 as the watch to wear. Love it!

Lived up to its product description in every way. Inner dual time zone dial is not tight enough to avoid inadvertent movement, which might mislead wearer about accurate time in second time zone elsewhere. Only a small issue for me, though, because infrequently used. Illumination in the dark could be longer lasting during night-time sleeping. I do miss a date funtion. Otherwise, the dial and watchband look and function great. I much prefer its automatic movement without the hassle and ever increasing cost of replacing batteries. Would buy it again without hesitation.

I purchased this watch today from my favorite local jewelry store. The watch is wonderful and beautiful. The upper and lower controls on the stem side of the watch which control the moving parts inside and under the crystal (the Rotating Elapsed Hour and Minute Dial Rings) are fascinating, but in order for the dials to work properly they need to be locked down. So, if you, Bulova, make another edition of this watch, please have the stems for the rotating dials pull out, then adjust the dials, and then push back in to lock the dials in place. They are way too easily moved which will change the elapsed time. Those adjustment stems just need to lock down to prevent the dials from moving once they are set. But otherwise, the watch is beautiful and seems to work wonderfully. I have a number of Bulova watches and Bulova is my favorite watch brand by far. All my recent purchases have been Automatic watches, which I love.

It is a classical, functional design. As an aviators watch, it has everything you need and nothing you don't. Good design is timeless and Bulova has done a masterful job.
