      My wife and I love our oven broiler but it frequently seems like overkill to grill small or moderate quantities of things. So after reading a lot of reviews we got the Mini Smart Oven. Have had it for about two months now and so far I love it. We've made everything from toast to asparagus to cookies to open-faced sandwiches... it is really versatile and works great. And the size is just right for us. Highly recommend it.

      So far it's o.k. the size is right, it fits my limited counter space but, it browns more on one side than the other. For the cost of the thing I expected better performance than that. Because of that, I decline to recommend it to others.

      The controls and overall look and size of this product are very nice, but the toasting function has been disappointing. I like just an average, golden color on my toast, so I thought putting the darkness setting at 4 (the highest is 7) would produce the desired result. Not even close! I had to add more time (multiple times) to get to an average toast color. After some trial and error, I now set it at 6 or 7 AND increase the slice number to 2 or 3 to get a single slice of sourdough bread to toast correctly. Also, on my previous toaster, when you opened the oven door, it would also make the toasting shelf slide out. This one doesn't do that, so you have to reach into the hot toaster to extract your toast. I have not used the baking or other cooking functions yet, so perhaps those work more effectively.

      We purchased this item to replace a 4 slice toaster. We wanted the option to be able to warm things up (pizza, leftovers) without the mushiness you get from a microwave. It does that very we.. but making toast leaves something to be desired. @slices on the highest (7) setting and the bottom is light brown. The top is much darker which I want. Its toast...not the best but overall the oven works ok.

      Bought a new Smart Mini Oven to replace the old one I had for 10 years. Basically the same excellent design, but the Alert Volume on this new one is almost inaudible. Almost have to be right next to the Oven to hear it (which sort of defeats the purpose of an Alert) The alert on my old one was audible in another room. Now I have to watch my bagel being toasted.

      I replace a 15 yrs old Cuisinart Toaster Over, with this Mini. For me and my family, the TOASTING is ok but not a WOW at all! I like BIG baked potatoes very disappointed after 2 hrs at @425 and still not fully cooked I thought for the cost I would have upgraded from a 15 yrs old oven. It has more options and does not get as hot on the outside of the oven.

      I have had this oven for about a month now. The bake/broil function work really well however when toasting there is significant condensation build up on the oven door and an emission of heat vapors. Initially I thought this was a "break in" issue that would resolve itself, however it persists after nearly a month of use. I owned the larger Breville Smart oven previously and never experienced this issue.
