      DO NOT BUY!! Customer service was no help at all. The line buzzed so loudly I could barely hear, then I was told I need to keep the unit at 68, even though it goes down to 60.       I installed the unit a few months ago, but did not turn it on till a few weeks ago and it just blew warm air so I un plugged it and tried a few more time but never was able to get cold air so I called for service. That morning I plugged the unit in and it was blowing warm air, when the service guy got here it some how was blowing cooler air so he said he would document the call. Later that day it was back to blowing warm air. I will have to call in for service again.

      I bought this unit online about a month ago and it has yet to work properly. It will not cool a room down. It blows hot air and never cools despite being placed on 60 degrees.

      This purchase has been a life saver. With the recent extreme heat wave in our area I couldn't be more satisfied with my new in the wall air conditioner. Not only was it super easy to install it's even easier to operate. I often use only the fan. It's a little nosier than I expected but not enough to disturb my sleep. As a matter of fact I find it kind of lulls me to sleep. I haven't received my electric bill since installation, which by the way my Grandson did for me. I'm expecting a lower bill than with my previous years old model. All in all, I would say this is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Very, very satisfied. Looks good, too!!!

      I bought this unit to replace an old loud unit. Worked perfectly over the summer. Next spring, it didn't work. Called LG and they arranged for service. They replaced the circuit board and now it works perfectly again.

      So I bought this a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the NYC summer and I am happy that I did because this does its job with cooling down the apartment. I found it at a great price (through the wall ACs are really expensive!), and it looks decent in the room - nothing beautiful, but at least it's nondescript and unnoticeable. That is until you turn it on, this thing is LOUD - I honestly just leave it on the full on mode vs. energy saver because when it turns on and off it would wake me up or distract me. The only reason that I am giving this a 3 star review instead of a 1 or a 2 star review, is mostly because it's so affordable (compared to others), and looks halfway decent. I do have the say, the trim kit it comes with helps make it look better. I just wish the vents pointed in better directions and it were a little quieter.

      I will know during summer. But so far, the control buttons to find settings are great. Running well w settings. Only hope it lasts for 25 years like my Emerson.
