      Product Description

Trigger your smart lights with movement. The battery-powered Hue motion sensor can be easily installed anywhere in your home.

Trigger smart lights with motion sensors

Add a Philips Hue motion sensor to your smart lighting system to automatically switch your lights on when movement is detected, helping you navigate safely through your home.

      Mount the motion sensor anywhere

The motion sensor for Philips Hue smart lights is battery powered and completely wireless, allowing you to install anywhere inside your home. Place it on a shelf, mount it to a wall or ceiling with a single screw, or place it on any magnetic surface with the included magnet.

      Customize motion sensor lights

With the Hue motion sensor, you can customize the lights that come on and their intensity depending on the time of day. During the evening, set the motion sensor to trigger gentle night lights to guide you in the dark. During the day, trigger crisp white light to flood your halls.

      Daylight sensor detects light

The Hue Motion sensor's integrated daylight sensor detects when there is still enough daylight so that lights do not turn on until you need them. If it's still too dark, adjust the light sensitivity of the sensor in the Philips Hue app to personalize when you'd like the motion sensor to activate.

      Requires a Philips Hue Bridge

This product requires a connection to the Hue Bridge (not included).

      Cautiously Optomistic About The Future

The only thing this is missing is setting for when one is in a scene. We should be able to add our motion sensor (as disabled) to a scene when we're in it. Perhaps even, "While in scene...." then be able to set all behavior settings, trigger sensitivity and room. If I create "Watch a Movie" I ...

The motion sensor works really well and is so convenient to have a motion and light sensitive switch for our hue bulbs. Programming wasn't as smooth as I think it could be, but testing allowed me to perfect it for our needs. It is, however, expensive for what it is worse than the relative price of other hue products.

Easy to setup and functions well. There is room for improvement on the software side. I would like to see the ability to link two or mor sensors in a room/zone, and a dusk to dawn option

As of a one week purchase it's awesome. I purchased it for my dog. He's getting old and I needed something to activate the lights for when he needs to go upstairs to drink, eat or do his thing. Makes it light able for him.

If a user is still planning to use Alexa, they should carefully name each product that they insert through the Phillips application, so they can figure out which is which when they use Alexa. You should also review the software, perhaps providing a good manual for the naming procedures, and making some other software GUI interactions easier to use

Very convenient and works as it should. Saves you that extra few seconds of turning on a Light switch, but who has a few seconds these days :-). Get this just so get used to saving that time and energy and so you can have the automation convenience. This works very, very well.
