We purchased this superb microwave oven a month ago, and installed it just over a week ago -- its features are incredible and appearance ev en better. Best, for us, was its overhanging retractable fan/vent, which addresses expelled moisture, steam, smoke, odors, etc. from our gas stovetop.

Over Head 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven, Purchased 4/12/2024.MFG date: Jan., 2022.Purchased 4/12/24. It works and cooks just fine. On 10/24/2024, the interior cooking area light went out. It can only be replaced by a LG Approved Service Technician. Now under warranty, As of 11/4/24, no LG Service Rep has contacted me. I have called in 7 times since 10/24/24. Today, I was told that an "unnamed service company"is supposed to call me on or before 11/13/24. I have spoken with 3 well respected Appliance Repair Companies in Columbia, SC. They all say they will not do Warranty Work for LG. No reasons given.

Pretty Darn Good Microwave

I bought this a few weeks ago and so far, it's pretty good. We had our old microwave for 11 years so this is definitely an upgrade. A minor complaint is that it is slightly less powerful than old one so it cooks a tad slower and we're learning what adjustments we need to make. Also, the defrost cycle is a bit different and again, we are learning how to adjust. Also, some difficultysetting up LG ThinQ but we also had this problem with our LG Refrigerator. Not a big deal but it is a feature that is so far not usable. Really nice feature is the pull-out vent that allows extra coverage for stove top venting needs and works pretty well. Overall, this is a pretty darn good microwave and another win for LG

Very happy with microwave so far. Great exhaust system. Easy to figure out. Havent tried all the features yet but the option selection covers a lot. Do wish the main control panel had backlighting. The light over the range could be brighter but have read that others just changed to higher watt bulb.

Despite what the specifications mention on this very website, the time cannot be displayed in 24h format. Actually, none of LGs Over-The-Range microwave can display the time in 24h format which is mind boggling in 2024 for any device that can display a clock, especially one for which it is a passive function and that can connect to the internet and sync with a smartphone. Apart from that. It's a good microwave, I specifically bought it for the extend-a-vent feature as I cook a lot and like it so far. The sync with the range to automatically turn the light and vent on and off is useful too. Will update the rating when a firmware update is pushed to this unit to display the time in 24h format

Bought and installed myself. I'm not convinced the installation instructions and template were accurate because I had to remove the mounting bracket from the templated location to get the microwave to fit into the space. The lights are not very bright; the interior light is VERY dim.

I bought all 4 LG THINQ appliances for my kitchen redo in April. So far the refrigerator broke down at night and I had water all over my kitchen floor and lost all the items in the freezer(which LG would not reimburse me for). Then about a month later I noticed that the fan on my microwave did not change speeds from low to high. A tech came out, said it was not working, returned with the part, installed it and told me it still was not working and that he had to contact LG. I've been waiting over a month so I called LG, spoke to a rep and then requested a supervisor. She told me there would be no reimbursement for my food as it was not the right part that broke, only the whole insides. Then she told me that the tech reported to LG that there was nothing wrong with the fan(different from what he told me) I would never buy another LG product and would never recommend them to a friend, or enemy!!!

Bought as I needed a more powerful and better coverage. Extend a vent fits this. I cook a lot of asian food and sometimes boil for hours. The microwave is spacious and exhaust is great to eleminate odors due to better coverage. Perfect for my needs.
