I originally purchased the LG S80TR soundbar to replace an aging soundbar in my spare TV room. Unboxing was very easy, everything was well packed, easy to remove and locate all the parts and accessories. Connection to the TV was easy and straightforward. Plugged it into my HDMI-eARC port on the TV, connected power following the order in the instructions and everything was up and running right away. I put on a movie, listened to it for about 30 seconds and realized this system sounded too good to be in the spare TV room. I unplugged everything, carried it into the movie room, unhooked the old system and hooked this system up. Connection for this system consists of a power plug for each rear speaker, a power plug for the sub and the soundbar and an HDMI cable to the TV eARC port. I did the room adjustment and turned on the AI enhancement, started watching some of my favorite Dolby Atmos movies and was really impressed with the sound I get from this system. I have a large room and cannot place both rear speakers an equal distance from where I sit, but the room balancing does a great job adjusting the sound so that even though the left rear is about twice as far from me as the right rear, it still sounds like everything was in the perfect position. The AI sound profile has been working great as well. Whether I'm playing a game, watching a movie, TV or Sports show, the sound has been impressive every time. I have other soundbars I have spent twice as much on that do not sound as good as this one. For the price and for the product you get, I have no problems recommending this soundbar.

I'm really enjoying the sound coming out of the LG Soundbar S80TR. I know you might have heard that a soundbar makes a difference when watching movies and listening to music, well I had one, now add to that experience a subwoofer and wireless speakers... game changer! Just be aware that the power connection cables that come with wireless speakers are not very long, so you have to be able to place them near an outlet or consider an extension cord of sorts. The subwoofer can be dialed down along with alot of settings in the app. I like that since I live in an apartment. The subwoofer is big but on the slimmer side so it isn't as noticeable. The setup was relatively easy and quick, I have had a few connection issues when starting it up, like the movie would pause by itself, but it has yet to happen again after those first few days.

I recently bought an LG G3 and the S80TR soundbar. The TV is amazing but I feel like the s80tr is really lacking in the bass area. I've tried messing with settings but It almost seems like the subwoofer isn't working. When I do the AI calibration the subwoofer sounds great but that's the only time it sounds good. I've tried watching a few movies on hbo max, disney+ and a few other services and it just feels like there's no bass. Am I missing something with the subwoofer? I made sure the green light on the back is solid and even have the sound setting on bass blast. Any help would be great.

I cant describe how much I love LG's S80TR Soundbar. The sound quality is phenomenal while watching out favorite reality singing shows. It gives all around sound with its two rear speakers and plenty of bass with the subwoofer. You will feel like you are in the actual audience. This sound system is well worth the price for the quality and experience you will embark on.

I purchased this soundbar to replace a 10-year-old 5.1 system. The technology that this sound bar emphasizes one is its ability to be used from a smartphone. I really appreciate this as I'm able to visually see instructions on how to setup the sound bar step by step using the LG Soundbar app. I'm also able to change the sound profiles of the sound bar on the app which I find so much easier than using the remote that it came with. If you have smart devices, you'll like making and seeing all the adjustments you make. One notable feature of using the app is the LG AI sound profile. You can use the app to measure the sound space of your room and provide you an optimized sound profile for your space. In terms of using this profile, it needs work as I feel it lacks a good deal of bass. Let's talk about sound profiles. There are two ways you can access them. One is through LG Soundbar app and the other is through your TV. They are very different sound profiles and you can only use the sound profile your device is connected too. For example, I love the Bass profile on the app when I connect from my phone. I cannot use this profile if I'm connected to the TV unfortunately. Once I switch over to the TV, the soundbar chooses the profile provided by the TV, in this case, an LG C1. In terms of the hardware quality of the bar, subwoofer and rear satellites, they are robust and solid. The quality of construction here really stands out. The sound coming from the bar is crystal clear. Dialogue from streaming app movies and shows are clear. The satellites provides that immersion while watching TV. I can really feel like I'm in the zone. The largest weakness is the subwoofer. I feel like the subwoofer can be push a lot further and louder. Hopefully there will be a software update in the future to do so. In closing, this sound bar currently as it stands, offers an all-around above average experience. LG just needs to update the app to allow sound profiles to carry over to the TV and open up the use of the subwoofer.
