I bought this few weeks ago and so far no complains at all. It's really fast, easy to use, and for my purpose (work-related use with internet browser opened all time, some background music, and Office apps also opened), the memory seems to handle really well with all simultaneous tasks.

Have been using it for a few days. The biggest problem so far is sound - nearly constant trebble. Unexpectedly it freezes. Do not know whether the reason is Chrome or Asus, but navigation is not simple- things happen by themselves OR do not happen.

I needed a new laptop for email and Web searches. My previous laptop was over a decade old and would barely boot up anymore. I don't use a laptop for gaming, so my needs were quite basic. This Asus X512 is perfect for me. Websites load very fast, there is lots of memory (I have an external hard drive as well) and I was able to start using it immediately. There were no glitches getting started and I am very happy with this purchase. I am receiving a 90 day warranty extension for this review.

This is an ok laptop. I have struggled with the speakers since day one. They are just never loud enough. Now, after about 1 year, the battery doesn't last very long. Otherwise it is a good computer.

The battery is short about 4 hrs and I have had hard time to use excel/ words/ browser sometimes (the screen would flash, get blurry or black out for a sec). I have no idea what happens.
