G Sensor / File Protection

In the event of an impact the device will automatically 'protect' the recording, stopping the file from being over-written. This can also be performed manually, by pressing the ‘protect’ button. Individual files can also be 'protected' when viewed within playback mode.

Automatic Start / Stop Technology

This is a great dashcam with mobile app capabilities. The install was pretty straight forward; it comes with a windshield mount that has adhesive backing and one that is a suction cup (I used the adhesive one). The actual camera snaps on and off the windshield mount via a really strong magnetic connection to make it easy to take on and off. The camera has lots of options and settings including choosing between 1, 2 or 3 minute recording intervals (this makes it easier to send the clips if needed later). It automatically comes on when you turn your vehicle on and begins recording. It also auto shuts off within a minute once the vehicle is off. The dashcam also comes with a host of smartphone capabilities via an app including Alexa voice integration.

This cam took a little bit to update the firmware and get setup in our car but was not difficult. The quality seems to be pretty descent and the video stability is good with the included mount. The video isn't real shaky from the car vibrations etc. There are quite a few features that take a little bit to get used to but really most of them the average person will not mess with. Being able to view the Dashcam video on my phone is very handy.

This is my first dash cam and I am very pleased with the ease of install, functionality, and design. The initial update was quick and easy just connected the camera to the computer and the update was done in a couple of minutes. Mounting was easy in the car with the provided sticker. The app is very user friendly to view and share the dash cam videos. If the memory card fills up it automatically clears out the oldest video's to make room for the new videos.

Everyone knows the importance of a dash cam, why? too many careless drivers out there. The picture quality on the NEXTBASE 522GW DASH CAM is simply Amazing. The camera is really easy to install, very compact and gets the job done. Won't attract too much attention. With so many aggressive drivers out there, this gives me some peace of mind knowing everything will be recorded in the event of an accident. The quality of the video is excellent! The recordings are smooth and high quality. It does not take up a lot of space . At night the quality of the video is still clear. recommend to purchase.

I think we can all admit that drivers are getting worse and worse everyday. Pretty sure I see 30-40% of drivers all on their phones while driving. It's only getting worse. I deal with a commute where about 1/2 of it is in slow-moving bumper to bumper that then opens up and slows down quick, ripe for someone to rear-end you and push you into the car ahead. Anyway, This dashcam gives me some peace of mind that I'm capturing other people's crazy driving in case an accident occurs. Setup was really easy, the mounting options it comes with are great. I need to figure out a way to route the power (they give you a nice long wire) to that it doesn't just dangle down from my rear-view mirror - not sure how I'll solve that. I do like that this starts to auto-record when my car starts, no need to remember to turn it on, etc...video quality is also great and while the app isn't amazing, it's functional for the basics. It does what I need.
