      Nice range handicapped by poor design

      We had a S*****g range that had the induction top fail twice in two years. We found this Frigidaire as it was #3 on Consumer Reports and tested at the top for reliability.       I bought this range about two weeks ago. Everything works well so far. The induction stove makes for fast heatb up and cool down times, and rhe oven air fries very well. Pleased so far with this range.

      I am a decades-long gas range user, so it took a lot of convincing for me to switch to this Frigidaire Gallery induction range. The Consumer Reports review certainly helped to show me there was a better, more energy-efficient way to cook. There is a learning curve, but the Frigidaire manual makes it easy to transition to induction cooking. Baking in this oven is far more even and takes less time. I am still learning all the options on this range, but I can easily say this is a vast improvement. FYI: I own a 20+ year old Frigidaire Gallery frig, and it works beautifully, so I have confidence in this company.

      Over the last few years, we've had both gas and electric ranges and this induction is definitely a step above. The temperature control is on point! No more burnt pancakes. We haven't seen as dramatic a difference in boiling speeds but the pans get hot quickly! Definitely a great intro range if you are wanting to get into induction without breaking the bank!

      I was due to get a new stove after living with the old electric coil version for 24 years. I decided to get the induction stove due to its comparable heat capability to gas ranges and my need to have a stove that will turn off automatically (as I am prone to forget to turn off my stove once I move the pan out of it). I love the flexibility of 5 burners and the convection stove with air fryer and a digital thermometer. The fan turns on automatically when you turn on the stove. The only thing I did not like is how loud the oven fan is and it keeps running even after you already turned off the oven. The other negative is the poor design of the power cord which sticks out so you cannot put the stove flush to your kitchen wall.

      Unfortunately if you accidentally touch the oven controls while you're cooking on the top, you change what's going on in the oven. I have inadvertently turned the oven off and not noticed.

      I was a little hesitant in buying a new range cause being honest I've never used my old electric range before. The moment I got my new one I can't stop using it, I've tried almost all of the settings and I love all of them. Starting with the no bake option, is sooooo good to just put the batter in and let the range do the rest without worrying in checking the temperature. As for the top; it's easy to clean and easy to use.

      Love the fast-heating induction and all the oven modes. I like the low profile, but not putting anything at the front of the cooktop (where the burner controls are) took some getting used to.
