We had a GE 18 - inch dishwasher for many years and were very happy with it. It finally just wore out. Because of our satisfaction with our old one we decided to get another one. Imagine our disappointment when we used it the first time and discovered wet dishes because it has no dry cycle or vent. After reading the trouble shooting tips, we discovered that we must be with it when it completes the wash cycle and open the door to vent the steam out so dishes will air dry! Not having a dry cycle would is one thing, but at least have a vent so we don't have to babysit with it or dry dishes! Would not have bought it if we had known this.

Cleans very well even on lightest setting. Does not have a dry feature but dishes are generally dry if left overnight with door slightly open. Could not be happier with this dishwasher in our RV. Generally used about 1-3 times per week.

This is our 2nd GE PROFILE dishwasher. The first one would still be working just fine after 19 years, but the closing latch broke and like so many things today parts are not available. Thinking by replacing the old with a new model I though installation would be the same. Not true. The manner of connections are similar, but all the fittings are different except electrical. It seems to do a good job on dishes and it is quieter, but it has NO drying cycle and for me loading is more complicated. Honestly, I wish I still had the old one. If I would have known there was no drying cycle, I would have bought another brand that did.

We want to help go over the drying method. This model uses "Condensate Dry" which is when condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Nice to find a dishwasher the size we wanted, 14 inch front. It is much quieter then our last dishwasher and we love the additional options of boost and sanitizer.

Perfect size for my small kitchen. Works very well and looks sleek and minimal with the top panel control. Dishes come out sparkling every time, and fits a good amount despite the small size.

Very disappointed that there is no dryer function. Extremely surprised that a washer wouldn't come with one. GE will not accept it back once over 48 hours from purchase. It washes fine but doesn't dry.
