      A Superb OLED TV

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS The unboxing experience was positive, it comes in an easily removed box/packaging and can be done by one person, although it would be easier with two. Once out the box, my first impression was Wow! The top 2 thirds of the screen are impossibly thin, and even on the ...

Get rid of the annoying pointer!

The TV and soundbar are excellent - 5 stars each. The infuriatingly stupid dot/pointer from the remote however completely ruins the experience - so that gets -10 stars. So 3 stars overall in this case is generous. No-one in the family is able to navigate and select what they want without the dot ...

My husband and I were both blown away with the picture and color. We have an older sound system but the sound on this TV blows our sound system away. I will definitely tell everyone I know this LG model LED77C4P is the best in our book.

Have been very impressed with the LG OLED65C4. The WebOS interface is quick and quite easy to navigate, though the pointer function did take a bit of time to get used to. 4K picture quality is outstanding, the deep colours and shades of black highlight the quality of the LG panel. I was also impressed with the sound quality, loud and deep for such a thin TV. Terrestrial TV also looks good with deep colours and also very good definition.  The remote control is simple and a good size to hold in the hand. It has easy to access dedicated buttons for a number of popular streaming services. The LG comes with AirPlay and Chromecast functionality already built in, very useful for sharing content from the different smartphones. Multi view is also a nice feature when you want to watch two independent sources on one large screen Console gaming is handled extremely well on this LG, the vibrancy of colours make the visuals look more solid, enhancing the gaming experience.

Having come from a 55" LG OLED C8 from around five years ago, I knew what I was in for; perfect blacks, great brightness, Dolby Vision support. What I wasn't expecting was such an improvement in the brightness, gaming features, and the enhanced support E-ARC provides in terms of audio codecs and quality. Finally, Filmmaker Mode. A massive thanks to LG for including this. Goodbye soap-opera effect and far too cold colour temperature, and hello as intended by the filmmakers. Make no bones about it, OLED remains top-tier in terms of panel technology. Through incremental improvements, LG have again shown why they are the number one television manufacturer in OLED sets, and continue to improve the feature set of their webOS platform. While I am a little disappointed that some of the niche streaming services still aren't available on webOS (looking at you, Shudder!), ultimately, that's the problem of the service provider. At least LG have catered for users with both Airplay and Chromecast built into the set. Is it expensive? Yes. but the quality of the panel, software, and feature set of this TV mean it is a great quality set that stands out in the market for all the right reasons. The latest C series OLED from LG is a winner, and the best value for money proposition in their OLED lines.

The LG C4 series of 4K OLED TV's is an incredible experience. The near infinite contrast ratio of OLED coupled with fantastic brightness levels make this TV a very enjoyable experience in any room. This TV does not leave me wanting for more brightness – at all. Even in a bright room the antireflective coating (which somehow still looks glossy and doesn't seem to affect sharpness like most others) coupled with some impressive brightness numbers makes for a truly sublime viewing experience. I am using the 65 inch version as a bedroom TV where it replaces a conventional LED-LCD TV (also an LG). As an avid enjoyer of sci-fi series such as The Expanse, the backlight bleed and rather bright black levels of the old LCD even with region dimming made for a noticeable and dismal experience with longer dark scenes. This C4 OLED may not have the retina melting brightness of a miniled but due to the unbelievable contrast ratio maximum brightness is still much too bright for a dark room. I have settled on 65 for brightness for night time use - bright scenes are still very bright, HDR transitions for bright scenes are still significant enough to make you momentarily squint but not so much that they detract from the viewing experience. This LG C4 OLED model has some impressive AI driven features intended to improve content on the fly, and from what I have tested they do very well at what they are intended for. Motion is silky smooth and almost feels like native 50/60fps content even when critiques attentively. Whilst all this tech is extremely impressive especially compared to how clunky it has been implemented on TVs of yesteryear, I have a preference for zero or minimal manipulation of the source content by the viewing device. For SDR content isf-darkroom has been my go-to choice, for HDR filmmaker mode appears most true to source. The picture, brightness, viewing angles, colour, etc are exquisite and leave little to want. However there are a few minor issues. The magic remote does take some getting used to and even after that it is only adequate. It does not feel as premium as a TV of this calibre deserves. All in all I am more satisfied with this TV than any previous TV I have purchased, it really does deliver what it promises and more.

The TV is very light and slim. there is a very nice finish on the back though we won't see it as we have ours wall mounted. It is very easy to access all of the platforms that we subscribe to because the interface is very good. The picture quality is superb with lovely bright and colourful images. There are many picture presets and we tend to use FILMMAKER mode for everything and Cinema home for HDR. The Dolby Vision FILMMAKER mode is a nice touch but I am unsure if I prefer it or Cinema. It is great to have so many choices. the sound is also surprisingly good. We will wall mount a soundbar at some point but there is no rush as the sound is quite enjoyable. The remote control is the same model that we have used for a few years so it is nice to not have to learn a new remote. It has a nice shape and works very well. I am glad that LG haven't changed it. Back to the picture quality, it makes everything look very good. We don't usually watch anything that is not at least 1080P but on the occasions when we do, the picture is surprisingly good. The best pictures that we have seen are via our 4k Blu Ray player. The picture is absolutely stunning. HDR is very effective - much better than the internal apps but that is to be expected from 4K Blu Ray. Setup takes a long time but then most of that is spent filling in the Login details for all of our subscriptions. The basic TV set up is very straight forward and LG's instructions are very clear. The same picture settings as on previous years' TVs are a great starting point so that is what we always start with. This 65 inch set is superb and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I saw the LG OLED C4 tv at my Aunt's house. The 65 inch screen was impressive. The display is very clear with sharp and vibrant colours. You can choose the different picture modes comprised of Vivid, Standard, APS(Auto Power Save), Cinema, Sports, Game and Filmmaker mode. I tried it in Game mode with a gaming console and the experience was great. Playing a game of football, the graphics were almost real and look stunning. The Dolby sound is acceptable considering the slim model. It can be connected with a smart mobile phone quite easily using AirPlay and Chromecast features. Useful for sharing videos and photos to display from the phone. It can also be used as a PC monitor. Though I didn't try this, the functionality is there.

Firstly the packaging was well designed. i was replacing the very first LG CX. It was very smooth sailing so far, after completeing the setup it was time to turn the TV on. They have made it so somply now to get started with the TV and activate everything with your phone. my first reaction was the screen quality, its a big improvement the colours are super rich and the blacks are strong. The AI setup they have now integrated on the TV is amazing helps map out the correct screen setting for you. was very impressed with the speed of the TV, the upgraded CPU has clearly done the job , loading apps like Netflix was very quick and now with the support of Dolby vision and Atmos the picture and sound was incredible. by far this is the best screen so far its extremely clear and the sound is amazing. i have recommended this to few friends after they have seen the screen and no doubt this is on there shopping list.

This is my first LG TV and i can say that i am extremely happy with the buy. The picture quality on this TV is insane. I expected amazing quality being an OLED and how much it costs but it truly is such fantastic quality I can't recommend this TV enough. The only slight downside for me is moving to the LG OS. While i kind of miss the OS on my old TV i have to say the features on the LG OS are still really good and it has all the apps i used on other TV's anyway so i'm not really missing out on anything. Even the design and weight of the LG is fantastic, looks amazing and it's so thin! Plus it's much lighter then my last TV so i'm not as worried about it hanging on my wall. If you want an excellent TV with great visual and audio quality, well honestly, this is up there as one of the best.

Huge upgrade to our very old tv. Hung it up on the wall and it was a lot lighter than expected for its size. Very thin and colours are very vivid and sharp. Love the remote and the smart features as well and being able to access all the different apps. Sound is good enough for us but a matching sound bar might improve the sound but we are more than happy with the sound. Definitely a happy upgrade to our previous tv. Still can't get over how the colours show on this tv!
