Not very "Military Grade" I was excited to purchase this and switched from a Macbook, but after having it a bit it continued to shut off on me due to "Power supply error" which was frustrating. Screen Broke after small fall

After owning 5 months the screen broke after falling 3 feet. Not very "Military Grade" I was excited to purchase this and switched from a Macbook, but after having it a bit it continued to shut off on me due to "Power supply error" which was frustrating. Battery does not last as long as described. Touch pad is also difficult to use and acts as a right click unless you're completely on the left side, which is not centered. Not worth the price. Tried to call LG for support, but after an hour on hold I gave up. I won't go back to Mac, but going to elsewhere for my next laptop.

I bought this a few weeks ago. So far I'm very happy with it. It's fast, and light weight. The battery life is good but not what was advertised. The ad said 18 hrs in reality its more like 8 hours. Disappointed with the small hard drive, 256 GB SSD, really! My flash drive is larger. Now I have to pay extra to get a larger hard drive. There is a Micro SD Card slot which, with such a small hard drive, comes in handy for extra storage. It came with 16 GB of ram and loads apps fast. The keyboard is back-lit which for me is a plus when working late with dim lights. The touch screen is nice but this model is not 2 in 1 so is not easy to use, having to reach over the keyboard. Plus if you go back and forth, touch pad then touch screen back to touch pad, the mouse tends to disappear making it necessary to close the app and open again to use the touch pad. The touch pad is nice and responsive to the lightest touch. Over all it's not bad, the light weight makes it nice for hauling it around.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I've owned about 10 laptops over the years, and this is my favorite by far. I have the version without the fingerprint reader, but essentially the same. Bought it about 2 yrs ago and see no reason to upgrade anytime soon.

The specifications read that this 15Z980-A.AAS7U1 laptop can be connected to hard wired internet via the supplied USB-C adapter and achieve gigabyte speeds. The REALTEK LAN controller only support 100Mbps connection.
