Product Description

Designed for ultimate convenience, the Rowenta Freemove Cordless Iron features a lightweight, cord-free design that delivers freedom of movement. Rapid charging technology works by using a base that recharges as you put the iron down to re-position garments, and when left unattended the iron automatically turning it off to save energy and prevent burning. A smart light on the base lets you know when it is time to charge the iron. Integrated anti calc prevents scale from building up while maintaining steam performance.

I am so excited to get this iron. I am a retired educator who is finally retired and looking forward to learning how to quilt. This iron was hard to find but got great reviews and so far it is working well. Heats up quickly and stays hot as long as it's positioned correctly on the base. Also, doesn't go into auto-shut off unless it's left alone with no movement for over 8 minutes. I love the flashing light to warn me that it is shutting down so if I need to keep using it, I just pick it up and replace it and it heats up rather quickly. Solid green light lets me know it is ready to go. Love how the cord doesn't get in my way when I am ironing and piecing. Also like the anti-calc feature that allows me to use tap water and the self-cleaning mode. Especially like the 400 microsteam holes in the stainless steel soleplate! Looking forward to many years of happy pressing pieces for my quiltmaking in my senior years as a retired educator! This is going to be fun!
