Cooktop finish coming off

Had my cooktop for 6 months and the finish is coming off. Samsung said that is not covered under the warranty. Do not buy a Samsung cooktop, they do not stand behind their products. They didn't even want to see the damage, said it was cosmetic !! The finish is coming off !

I got this thinking it was high quality but no, stay far away. I even called customer service and they were no help. I had this less than a year and the knobs get heated it's impossible to touch while cooking, and it's impossible to clean, it looks like it's 10 years old already. Whoever sees this at my house says they will never buy a Samsung kitchen appliance. Such a shame and waste of money.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with this product was so abysmal that I felt compelled to share it. I bought a brand new Samsung gas cooktop and we are unable to unscrew the orifice from the cooktop. To fix the problem I raised a ticket with Samsung after that a company technician arrived and reported it as an installation problem, How come it will be an installation problem if the orifice of a brand new cooktop is unable to unscrew is it an installation problem? I have raised multiple tickets but this technician reported it's an installation issue so Samsung is not issuing anything to fix the problem and this problem is not resolved.

Cost to replace parts is insane, breaks in 3 years

Knob surface is metal but, inside is plastic. After 3 years, four of the five knobs broke. Replacement knobs are $180-$200 each. Look it up yourself, "Samsung NA26N9755 knob". Generic replacement knobs didn't fit. Buying a new unit instead, do not plan to buy Samsung again for any appliance.

We just bought this smart gas cooktop for my parents a few weeks ago and we're in love with it. The cooking temperature is amazing and the build quality is superb. We bought it mainly for its smart integration features and they don't disappoint. My parents are elderly now and I have a fear of them leaving a burner on and going to sleep, but with this cooktop thats a thing of the past. Besides the fact I can check if a burner is left on right from the app, I programmed several routines to alert us to our smartphones if a burner has been left on for different durations. I even get alerts on my Samsung Bespoke fridge on the family hub. If you don't carry your phone around the house, each knob has an individual blue LED to alert anyone which burner is on at a glance. This is exactly what we were looking for and would recommend 100%. On a side note the WIFI/bluetooth transmitter sticks out about 2 inches from the back of the unit, so make sure you have enough clearance behind the cooktop to accommodate for it. You can remove it and it does have a cover to replace it, but for us that would have defeated the purpose for which we bought it. We did have a granite backsplash about an inch behind our old one that we had to alter to make it fit, but it was totally worth it!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I purchased a Samsung frig ,double ovens, gascooktop ,and a dishwasher and I have had problems with every appliance. I would never buy another Samsung product.

Excellent cooktop but the knobs can be fragile, so careful not to remove them too often for cleaning or for pressing the Smart Things connect button. If they break, the cost of replacing them will be quiet surprising... Also while it may be a no brainer to some, careful with the stainless steel coating and clean only using approved cleaning methods, otherwise it will damage the finish easily.
