      Product Description

      Monitor movement in your home and receive alerts if there's unexpected activity with the Samsung SmartThings Motion Sensor. Use the free Samsung SmartThings app to program the Samsung SmartThings Motion Sensor to send you alerts if there's unexpected movement in your home while you're away, or if your children access dangerous or off-limits areas. The sensor monitors the temperature in rooms and sets your thermostat to adjust accordingly. You can also use the Samsung SmartThings Motion Sensor with connected lights to turn on or off as people come and go, or turn on lights automatically if there is unexpected movement.

      Great little electronic to have

      Got this along with the button to try.at my home. We've had problems.with people coming in and out that weren't supposed to me and this did the job. Comes on when any traffic is felt. Love it! Now we can see any movement even the smallest.

      I loved this sensor when I installed it and got it working with the hub. But the battery died down soon. I've replaced the batteries few times now and none of the batteries lasted more than 15 days.

      i purchased the smartthings hub with several smartthings brand devices as i assumed that it would easier to connect those devices together. from the day i started setting this up it did not work. as a tech savvy guy, i did my googling and found several helpful tips which i tried with no success. after that i contacted support who gave me the same tips i had already tried. i worked with support for 2 months. multiple emails and phone calls with days not hearing back from them. each time i got passed on to another support person, i would have to try the basic trouble shooting again. all the support time pushed me outside of my return window and now i'm stuck with a defective product

      the motion sensors works great. except the batter drains like crazy. in two weeks, the battery went from 100% to 61%. there's no way to hardwire power.

      I've bought two smartthings branded motion sendors. Both have failed. They wont stay connected. I have a third party that works fine. I will never buy another smarthings motion sensor.

      Have had the sensor for 11 months and have to take the battery out almost weekly to reset it.

      The motion sensor is very easy to install and connect to SmartThings. The response to movement is quick. However, we have a 60lb black Labrador retriever who sets it off every time. We had hoped to use these as part of our home security, but can't because the dog trips them.

      The SmartThings motion sensor connected to the SmartThings hub easily. It took a few minutes and I was able to start utilizing it. The motion sensor could be placed on the wall or sit on a shelf so it's mobile.
