Arrived early from Electronic Express which surprised me because they didn't supply me a tracking number. The TV was super easy to set up and I appreciate the simple remote control. I have a cable box so I don't need the channel numbers. The color is great but my only hesitation is the definition of facial features. I like to see lines in the faces and they're not showing. This might be because I have "stretched" the standard digital picture. Overall I'm happy at the price.

We purchased this TV 2 months ago. We normally wait until we've used a product for a month or two before reviewing. We needed a small-ish TV as a stop gap for the master bdrm until we complete a redesign. Searching used TVs on social media and P2P buy/sell apps turned up larger TVs that had alot of age at this price. We needed a smart TV at an inexpensive price that has value of use after it's needed for a TV. Electronics Express answered the call. Setting realist expectations at this price is important. This 40" TCL Roku TV is a good product. It's not a premium product, but you already know that if you have completed any research of TVs out there. That's not a bad thing! Like cars, people need all types of vehicles for different reasons, only one being price. This model is indeed inexpensive. It is not 4K, but delivers a great HD picture. We plan to use it as a gaming monitor for the teenager once we're through using it as a TV (added value there). The Roku OS is good, not great. We do like the ability to pause live TV through the digital antenna (which is very cool) and there are plenty of channels and apps available to watch everything you are watching now. Sound quality is low, but that's becoming commonplace in the market as TVs get thinner and thinner. External sound system is recommended. The remote is on the cheap side of things. It feels good and has decent button placement, but it seems slow to react at times. When using Netflix / Prime, it also seems to bog down when getting started, but works as expected after. After two months, we are still pleased with our purchase and know that it will live on for years as an additional monitor for kids coming over to play Fortnite, or whatever other game is about to drop worldwide. I recommend this purchase if you share the needs and expectations we have.
