We currently use this product in our family room. We love the compact heater and the ability to set a temperature at which we want the room so that the heater comes on and off as necessary. We also used this product in our garage while doing some work. It kept us nice and warm, while not being big and bulky and in the way.

After testing the Vornado,which I received complimentary, I can honestly say I will never purchase another brand. We have a very large great room,and it heated the entire room. My husband took it into our attached garage and could not believe how well it heated it. I am about the warmth,the quietness,while my husband is about the construction and durability,when it comes to a heater. The product met both our expectations. It is quiet,effective,and constructed well. I loved the ability to adjust the temperature. Our other heater is all or nothing;it's on or it's off. We were capable of keeping the room at a nice constant temperature. The heater stayed cool to the touch and we had no fear of it tipping over. We also liked the remote! That was very convenient. I highly recommend the Vornado! I think it is a good investment.

Cheap remote. Mushy response to buttons being pushed on remote or unit. Sometimes they work most times multiple button pushes to get the unit to respond. Will be returning. For the price the thing should just flat out perform better. Instead of just being the worlds most expensive small room heater. Maybe I got a faulty unit?

Living in New York means that you deal with winter for 90% of the year. At least it feels like that. We held out as long as possible before we turned the heat on. Prior to turning it on, though, we were going in our office/computer room, hanging out, and using the Vornado VMH500 Metal Heater. We have been going in there to hang out, clean up the room and to play games on the computers back there. Even if we had our actual heat on, it would not get back there - as we close the room off. Having the Vornado VMH500 Metal Heater has been wonderful. Though this heater is small, it packs a punch and pushes a lot of heat out. There are three settings for "heat" - high, low, and just fan. We alternate between high and low and it works wonderfully, and all the settings are very quiet. The room heats up very quickly and consistently stays warm. It is not like one of those heaters where it warms up your room and then shuts off and it gets cold again. It is quite simple to use the Vornado VMH500 Metal Heater - the buttons are rather self-explainable. The handle and integrated cord storage are convenient. This heater is small, so it does not take up a lot of room, but it is nice that you can easily shove the cord in the back of the heater and carry the heater wherever you want to. It does have a tip over protection feature; however, I did not try it out, so I do not know how it works. However, it is nice to have in case one of my pets tip it over on accident. The Vornado VMH500 Metal Heater has a nice look to it - it is simple and has a stylish look. The heater having a 5-year warranty is awesome. I do not foresee anything going wrong with this heater, but it is nice to know that there is a nice, long warranty. Overall, this is an impressive heater and I would highly recommend it. If you need to heat a small room, then the Vornado VMH500 Metal Heater is a must-have! I did receive the Vornado VMH500 Metal Heater in exchange for honest opinion.

This is a great little heater. It puts out a decent amount of heat, but it's best used in a smaller bedroom. We'll be using it in our children's bedroom this winter to save some money on heating bills. Pros: - Good heat for a small room - Safe, only small area is hot to touch and turns off when moved - Easy to use and control from base or with remote Cons: - Just not powerful enough for more than small bedroom or office

I received the Vorndo metal heater to try out and review. It was very easy to get out of the box and setup. There isn't many buttons, which makes it very easy to use. It gives off a lot of heat without making the actual heater hot. I think my favorite part of the Vorndo metal heater is that it comes with a remote!! No more climbing out of bead or off he couch to change the setting or to turn it on/off. Over all an amazing product!

I live in a house built in the 1950's and have the original furnace with the vents all on inside walls of the house. The bedrooms on one side of the house get really chilly when it's cold out. I usually buy a cheapie heater for my son's room. This heater is excellent! Much better than any other heater i've ever purchased. It stays cool to the touch and turns off if it tips over. Must have features in a kids room. It's very quiet. The times it has kicked on I didn't even know it. My favorite part is that I can enter the temperature I want the room to be and not worry that I'm going to walk in to a 90 degree room later because it adjusts according rather than running endlessly like the more inexpensive heaters. Save's money on my electric bill too since it's not running when it shouldn't be! I'm really loving it! Thinking of buying one for my finished basement which gets drafty! This heater also comes with a remote, which is really nice once you are settled in bed if you want it cooler or warmer!

During the first chilly nights of the season, I opted to try out this electric heater rather than firing up the pellet stove. It is very stable, no concerns about it falling over if the dogs happen to bump it. So quiet that I didn't think it could have been throwing any heat, but within 15 minutes to a half hour, the room was comfortable, no drafty blasts of hot air, just nice and toasty. Its settings are easily to adjust and view, both from the top and front of the unit.

My previous little space heater is I don't know how many years old. Manual knobs, only a couple heat settings, and noisy. This Vornado Metal Heater was a huge step up. So many awesome features, and very unexpected for a space heater. The temperature can be digitally set to a specific number. No worries about the room getting too hot. There is a digital display on both the top and front of the heater. Not too bright, and it dims after 20 seconds. There are also several timer settings, so I didn't have to worry about remembering to turn it off. There are two heat settings (hi/lo), but the fan is super quiet for both settings. It blows a little louder/more forcefully when just using the fan. The louder fan also kicks in louder when it is cooling off when turning off (for about 10 seconds), and it may be noticeable if you are a light sleeper. The buttons are located on top, and easy to access. There is also a remote, that can complete any function as well. I did notice that you have to have the remote at just the right angle for it to work. There also isn't a handy spot to stash the remote when not in use. There is a recess under the handle on top that will hold it, but it can be bit tricky to retrieve. There is a handy recess in the back to store the power cord. With kids in the house, I appreciate that the exterior remains cool to the touch and that there is a tip sensor that shuts it off if the unit is overturned. The vents are also quite fine, I'm not worried about little fingers getting in. The heater stores your last setting for easy use. Best for smaller, enclosed rooms. I didn't notice much effect when running in my large, open living room. All in all, a great little unit!

When I first took the Vornado Heater from the box, I loved the look... actually a nice room accent compared to my current heater. I had never heard of this before but was so happy to get this. It is very easy to understand ... power on, heat adjustment, and temperature. I would trust my grandma to use this! The heat made the room very comfortable in a short amount of time and I do believe this will help on our heating bills this winter. I am anxious to use it every night as I sit and watch TV and the nights are getting colder here in Central Illinois ..winters will welcome this heater and I am going to give my old one away, keep the Vornado heater as our main one as it does a much better job of keeping us warm. Worth the investment.
