I had a refurbished HP Chromebook to start with for 5 years and have just about worn it out, and bought this one as a replacement, and am so glad that I did! This model is SO much more improved over the 14" model that I've been used to, even though I was very happy with that one, this one is so much...

It rebooted last week all on its own. Came up in developer mode, then rebooted again. For some reason this time, it seemed to reset my Chromebook back to factory settings. I lost all my files that I moved over from my old Chromebook.

This Chromebook is exactly what I needed. I haven't had any problems yet. It charges quickly. It was easy to set up and easy to navigate. I am actually happy that I purchased this, I usually regret my impulse shopping, but not this time.

My Chromebook shipped and arrived ahead of schedule. It was not damaged during shipment and was easy to set up and update. The battery life is amazing and easily synced all of my data with my other android devices.

I like HP products, I try to stick with HP. I got this chrome book and a new printer 2700. I knew what I was getting with a chrome book, I will not complain about software, Chrome OS environment. I think the track pad could be better, old HP laptop has a better track pad. But getting a wireless mouse really helps with that issue. It gets a little warm but not as much as everyone says. I got a laptop cooler pad just in case. My only concern is that the screen has this ripple effect when the screen is moved, closing it or opening it. One thing that worried me at first is when I go on reddit, the system crashes. It might just be a memory thing because their can dozens of videos trying to load even if you are not clicking on it. If you move the mouse over the video, everything will crash. It seems to work fine on youtube, tubi. While it still early, so far it fine for my web surfing.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I Use this for school and every time I charge it it takes 15 minutes no joke to load into the signing in screen and another 5 to get to a new tab, whenever it charges or is plugged in while i am working it is soooo slow. I definitely would not recommend this, i would give a 0 star if possible, really effects my schoolwork and slows me down. DO NOT BUY THIS.

So I bought two of these because COVID struck and suddenly my kids needed to do school from home. This seemed like a good deal! Simple interface, easy to use. Alas, they didn't make it a year. They can't handle Zoom. The touchpad is starting to go so now we have to get a mouse for each of them. The speakers aren't worth a darn, and neither is the mic. The camera's fine. We live in a new age. Even after this pandemic is over, people - students and workers alike - are going to work remotely. This performance is unacceptable even in the best of times. Now, it's just bad business. This is the second HP product I've had problems with. I'm going to avoid them in the future, and I will make sure to warn people off of them in the future.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
