Easy Setup, Easy Use

I received the bridge, along with my initial 5 lights, one week ago. Installing the lights were as easy as changing a light bulb. The bridge connections were only 2 cables, and the Hue App guided me through setup. Within a few minutes, I was changing color Scenes in my living room with voice command...

Always problematic

This Hub is absurd. Every time Hue pushes out an update, all the lights reset and we have to add them back in. We lose all of our settings, rooms and light scenes. When we contacted Hue customer service about it, they told us it was outside of warranty and would not be replaced (regardless of the fa...

I can't control the lights at 2 homes. This can't be that uncommon of a problem. I have one house in NY and another in Naples Florida. Can't get both systems to work. I have tried everything

Huge draw back that the bridge must be directly tied to the router via Ethernet cable without buying an additional route. Make no sense the Sync runs on Wifi but the bridge does not.

I have the Hue system for over 4 years now. Changed the home, took the bulbs and bridge with me, moved in a bigger house, absolutely everything is on HUE system. The thing is: I have 42 lights downstairs with 11 switches and smart plugs, and 26 lights and 15 switches and smart plugs upstairs. I had to organize everything on 2 bridges. I had to integrate everything in Samsung Smartthings, in order that my Google Assistant to recognize all the lights. I expected from Philips in this 4 years to come with a better solution, like releasing a better hub to integrate everything on one hub. I hope that someone from Philips will take my review into consideration. I had to do a lot of research on internet and on my own expenses in order to achieve a full smart lighting system using Philips Hue. Therefor I gave a 3 star Rating in order to catch someone's attention. I believe that I'm not the only one with this problem.

Horrible devices limits

The bridge features are acceptable, but the limits for max bulbs and devices are from another century, drawing parallels to the memory limits of ms dos (!) In effect, the Philips hue solution is a kids toy and not a solid base for your house, unless you're willing to compromise on simple tasks, like the bulbs actually turning on/off when you pres the switch or motion is detected.

Love the way that it mirrors the colors on the edge of the screen. Definitely much nicer than all the inexpensive light strips.
