Easy Setup, Easy Use

I received the bridge, along with my initial 5 lights, one week ago. Installing the lights were as easy as changing a light bulb. The bridge connections were only 2 cables, and the Hue App guided me through setup. Within a few minutes, I was changing color Scenes in my living room with voice command...

Not only it is too expensive, but it can't even connect wirelessly to my wi-fi router.... This literally removes/destroys your lies, that you can put it anywhere!!!!!! Yes, if you have a very long ethernet cable, you can put it anywhere............................ It connects wirelessly to the lights, right?? So why can't it connect wirelessly to the router as well????????????? Wasted, useless, expensive piece of plastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not recommend it!!!!!!!! Just use the Bluetooth app and screw voice commands.

I had purchased a light bar thinking it was already compatible with Bluetooth. Then I bought the hub to go with it and it says it's connected but lights don't change color with app. But it works, so that's nice.

Your return process is complete garbage. I went and bought a bridge from a local Best Buy before this arrived and have been trying to return it for over a week now. It's infuriating. Literally the worst experience I've ever had with a company. The bridge itself is great. The customer service is a joke.

I bought a pair of bulbs back in 2018. Never looked back. I'm up to 5 rooms. Easy to connect, easy to use, easy on the eyes (emits very warm natural light, no blue hues or bright white color). I even moved houses with them and once plugged in everything was normal. 100% would recommend and 100% will buy more.

I understand the thought behind requiring ethernet be run to the bridge because many people run Hue bulbs as their normal house lights and need to be able to run them when the internet is out. But I will only use it for the light strip and running hardwire to the bridge is inconvenient. I require ethernet for work from home and had to buy an ethernet switch and an additional cable to connect the bridge. It should have the option to be run wirelessly with a warning that without a wired connection, you will not be able to control lights when the wi-fi is down. Also, I believe the Sync box requires wi-fi anyway so I don't believe the bridge would work for me without wi-fi anyway. Only purchased because it's necessary to connect the strip and box. Does not serve any other notable purpose for my situation so overall it's an inconvenience at the price.
