Much quieter than Frigidaire and it works better too.

The humidifier has been working for a few months now and maintains my basement humidity at a desired level sensing the moisture and turning off or on automatically as needed. This Danby unit is significantly quieter than my previous two similar sized Frigidaires which both could not maintain humidit...

Worked well for 14 months then failed by consistently freezing up. Luckily covered by warranty and replaced by store where purchased.

I got this dehumidifier because my old one was not working. I did a little research and this one seemed to be the best fit for my basement. Once I received it I set it up in my musty basement and it worked very well.

This new Dehumidifier replaces and old model that is still going strong (but in a different location). I thought the old one was doing great, but after turning this one on I notice an improvement - this one pulls the moisture out of the air a lot quicker. The old model is over 20 years old, so I guess it's to be expected. I run a Dehumidifier all summer long in the lower half of our home and now the old one is in the garage - keeping that area mold & mildew free. I have recommended this model to friends. It has a new updated look (compared to the old model) which is much sleeker, and really works great.
