The Danby 50 pint dehumidifier helps to protect your home from humidity, mold and mildew by removing 23.6L of humidity per day. Ideal for spaces greater than 3000 sq.ft, the Danby dehumidifier has auto restart to restart your unit after a power failure and an auto de-icer to prevent frost build-up. The 4 castors make for easy room to room transport and the low temperature function allows you to operate the unit in temperatures as low as 5°C. The unit is Energy Star certified to run economically, even in very humid environments. Much quieter than Frigidaire and it works better too.

The humidifier has been working for a few months now and maintains my basement humidity at a desired level sensing the moisture and turning off or on automatically as needed. This Danby unit is significantly quieter than my previous two similar sized Frigidaires which both could not maintain humidit...

It is my second in the row. Have never had any problem. First one lasted for 5 years. Hope this one will last even more. Also it was cheaper then other brands.

It is not powerful to get ride of moistures in my basement. even I have a drain hose connected to the unit, I still see water in the tank.

Simple to set up and run. Unlike my old dehumidifier which did run for over 25 years, all be it not reliably, the Danny has other useful features other than humidity level, off and on. The wheels are nice. I run mine via a piece of garden hose into the sump pump hole so I never have to empty it. Unlike my old dehumidifier, the Danny has a nice lit digital readout. At this point, I've only had it for about a year but I'm quite satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it.

Easy setup and runs quiet. I would give it 5 stars if the water reservoir tray was a thicker plastic. Have used unit about a month.

This Danby unit is significantly quieter than my previous two similar sized Frigidaires which both could not maintain humidity levels within a plus or minus 3% range. They were bought from a chain store which would provide no Frigidaire support. The Frigidaire Co.service support would not answer my emails nor phone calls to help in getting better moisture control. A nearby local family owned store which has a humidifier maintenance department, heartily recommended this Danby product as a replacement which has made me a satisfied customer. George H.
