      Bought multiple access points and use it via ethernet to connect to devices like desktop PCs, rigs, etc. Very useful in that regard. Wireless works great with phones, tablets, laptops, etc. My ratio is 1 access point between 2-3 rooms and 1 access point for large living areas.

      I purchased it because it has nice parental control. You can manage the WiFi to different devices, set up sleep time, study time, etc.But, the WiFi connection is bad. It keeps dropping all the time. Especially with iPads and while using Facetime.I'm returning it to Google and keep using the router which I received from Spectrum.

      The price break Google offered for sunsetting OnHub devices was top-notch. The quality of the new Nest router and point are top notch. The only thing keeping from a five-star review is that the handoff / install from that existing on hub router was less than seamless. Was hoping that the two Google devices would do a bit more of a handshake/exchange information. Relatively minor inconvenience but did add 15 minutes of research and troubleshooting to the install process.

      I have Fiber Optic cable in the newly built house in Surprise, AZ. Being an IT Professional with remotely working from Home, I bought the Internet plan of 1 Gbps speed from COX Communication. I have 5 Google Mesh covering the entire of my house which is just a single-storied building. Needless to see, for my Office work, I need to connect my Computer thru LAN, derived from one of 5 Google Mesh. After setting up this Network, I could see the Download and Upload speed through speedtest.net is just < 20 Mbps and < 1 Mbps, respectively which is extremely frustrating. As a result, the Internet is drastically slow. When called the COX Engineers to investigate this issue, I was shown by them that the download and upload speed in their Modem is very close to 1 Gbps. Therefore, all the problems for this drastically slow speed in Internet are within the Google Mesh. It will be highly appreciated if you, please, could resolve this issue in Internet speed or suggest me for the resolution.

      I set this up after replacing my Google On-Hub router. (Benefits marked with , Faults with a -) it's Easy to set up.- You would think it would recognize the prior set up and offer a "Use Previous settings" option, but No..... Even having to set it up from scratch, I had the entire network (Hub 3 WIFI extensions) set up in ... 20 minutes? No issues.- Until it randomly dropped the network. No pattern or other hints... I just randomly stops working, then re-starts again. Outages last for 5 minutes or so, and can be anytime, frequently during the daytime during business hours.- Also, the app says it has a status light. as far as I can tell, it lies.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

      I was somewhat doubtful about the Google Wi-Fi being any better than the other popular router brands. I was proven wrong the instant I set up my first puck in Google Home. Within a few minutes my three Google Wi-Fi pucks were working perfectly in a mesh network. One puck lost connection to the primary puck in a few days and required setting up again. Since that single incident I have had no problems. I have a strong wifi signal all over my house and I can even move the puck to where I need a stronger signal. I am using one of the pucks for connecting my desktop computer and non-wifi printer via ethernet cable to my home network. Based on the ease of setup and good performance, I have no hesitation in recommending Google Wi-Fi as a great option for home Wi-fi network.
