Would you look at how deep this is! If I were any shorter, I'd need a step stool to reach the clothes at the bottom! This new washer's deep drum threw my laundry schedule out the window. With 5 guys generating daily work uniforms and smelly sports wear, we'd run a load every other day then empty ...

Results have been good so far. Cleans the clothes far better than my last washer. I like the glass see through lid and auto sensor for fill depth but I still wish I could choose how much water to add. Very quiet when running.

We had this washer for 1 year C and 5 days, I believe and the sound went out of it. The warranty had expired but we bought the extended warranty so I called them. They refused to fix it since the machine still worked washing clothes. I had to call the extended warranty again when the quick cycle kept running water and wouldn't stop. Again they never came after several calls. It completely stopped working in the middle of a cycle not long ago. I called them again and they said they would come check it out but Never did!!! The warranty is crapt these days. Paid several hundred dollars extra for the extended warranty but they don't honor it. I used to love Maytag, used a washer/dryer set that my parents gave us back in the 70's and between us; we used those machines for over 30 years and only had it worked on once. The machines now a day are cheaply made and don't last even a couple years without something going wrong. They cost more and are made cheap. I still have a few cycles that work so I'm getting by but rest assured that we and my family will NEVER buy a Maytag product again. It's a shame. Maytag used to be the best but not anymore.

The washing machine does a terrific job cleaning clothes. The machine noise level needs improvement. It is very loud. The metal finish work on the lid is sharp at the corners, it could catch on clothes or cause a finger to get scraped. I am looking for a solution to reduce the risk.

We have had this washer for a little over two weeks. We have had several codes pop up. F8E1 and F0E7 are the main ones. Do not buy this washer; it is junk.

This is the second time I have purchased the Smart Top Load Maytag Washer and matching dryer. I have them in my primary residence and have been very satisfied so it made sense to buy them for our vacation home. They are very efficient appliances also quiet when running which is important to me as they are installed on the second floor of our homes in the hallway close to bedrooms. I have been using Maytag appliances for the past 40 years and they do not disappoint. The price point is excellent too!
