No Smart Security Subscription required to use this feature.

    • With an ecobee Smart Security subscription you’ll unlock real-time push notifications when the system is armed. It can detect motion from a range of up to a 120° arc 16 feet away, notifying you when doors or windows are opened unexpectedly, or when unexpected motion is detected in your home.

    • Place SmartSensors near your valuables like drawers, safes, and medicines cabinets, and receive instant notifications if they are opened.

    • Installation is quick and easy. Simply, attach a SmartSensor to a door, window, entryway, or other areas that contain valuable items drawers, safes, and medicine cabinets.

    • SmartSensors gives you peace of mind that’s powered by an easily replaceable battery designed to last up to 3 years.

    • With an ecobee Smart Security subscription, the SmartSensor for doors and windows detects if either has been open for more than 5 minutes, automatically pausing your HVAC system. Once the door or window has been closed for more than 30 seconds, the HVAC system resumes operation. (This feature is compatible with ecobee smart thermostats and requires an ecobee Smart Security subscription).
