      Hi. Just received this blower ... tool only ... and it doesn't work with any of my 40V 4ah batteries. They don't mate with the slot at all. So what was the point of buying this?       It is so very frustrating that the auto-feed spool does not work. Every minute or so I have to take the spool apart and feed out more line by hand. This is my second machine (acquired because the first was stolen but I still had the battery and charger pack and also the mower, which is great) and it is the same problem with the auto-feed.

      Hello Albion, We are sorry for your experience. The machine has an auto-feed head. If the cutting line does not automatically advance, it can be tangled or empty. 1. Start the machine and keep 3s. Release the trigger until the machine totally stops. 2. Repeat the above step until you can hear the line-cutting noise. The line will extend approximately 0.4 in. with each stop and start of the switch trigger until the line reaches the cutoff blade and the cut-off blade cuts the excess length. Do not pull or release the trigger too fast. Users can also, remove the cutting line from the spool and rewind it The line might be twisted around the spool. Hope these suggestion help.       I bought this for convenience and ease of use is keeping my deck and garage free of debris. It did not disappoint. Plenty of power, great battery life and so quick to get the job done.

      I bought this mower with the two 5.0 aH batteries. They are supposed to last 'up to 45 minutes'. What a joke. I have mowed my lawn three times now and this is what I get. Fully charged lasts about 16 minutes, not enough to do my entire yard. I charge they to full again (in the dual slot charger this takes over two hours, not the 75 minutes that is claimed) and try to finish. Next charge lasts about 10 minutes. Still not done with my lawn. On the third attempt I barely finish what should easily be done an one charge. I can only think that your advertising is deceptive. If I needed a stronger battery I would have bought those instead of what came with the mower. As it is, it is pretty much worthless.

      Great blower, poor battery life

      I love the blower but only get 15 minutes of blowing time per charge. Looking for something that can blow my entire driveway in one charge and not have to do it in two sessions. This is not the product for that. But if you need a quick clean up that takes less than 15 minutes, this will do a great job.

      Hello DEB612, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this blower. As each tool uses a different amount of power, the run time of the battery will vary depending on the tool along with the load acting on the unit. Generally, you can expect to receive approximately 10-15 minutes on high speed in the blower, longer if used on a lower speed setting. To extend your run time, try using the blower setting on a lower speed when high speed is not a requirement, as blowers are considered a high-power draw application which means they do tend to drain the battery quite rapidly in comparison to some other tools. Alternatively additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with all 24V Greenworks batteries; please keep in mind, the higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be.       Being close to 80 the self propulsion feature is unbeatable on my hills and inclines. The blower is superb, very efficient. The trimmer works well but gets too heavy for me, not the trimmer's issue, but mine. I'm not very good with it.

      I get 15-20 minutes use with blower and the 40V 2ah battery! Great for blowing out candles on a birthday cake....the 12" string trimmer same. You advertise 45 minutes! For the price of an extra battery this is NOT cost effective!

      I've had this trimmer for a bout a year now. From the first use the string has never advanced properly. The string also snaps off very easily so have to remove the cover and manually advance it. This is the original string that came with it. It's not that I bought a cheaper type. This has been a waste of money.

A way of testing the auto-feed is hold the unit as you would while in operation. Make sure it's good distance above any surfaces that may snap the string. Then turn the unit on/off 10x and see if the length of the line has changed. If it does, this indicates the auto-feed is working. If the unit does not extend line when you turn the trigger switch on/off, there may be an issue with the auto-feed feature.
