      270 watts of 3.1 channel sound, with virtual Dolby Atmos. Three 2.5mm tweeters, three 2.75" midrange woofers, and a 6.5" down-firing subwoofer with patented SlipStream port extends bass. Dolby Atmos Music content is available from compatible streaming services.

      Wi-Fi Enabled

      Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to experience everything from podcasts to internet radio, or stream music through AirPlay, Alexa Multi-Room Music (MRM), Chromecast built-in, and Spotify Connect and take a call without the music being interrupted.

      I recently got my hands on the JBL Authentics 500, and I have to say, it's pretty impressive. The sound quality is pretty solid although it lacks a lot of stereo feel to it, it has decent highs and good bass. The retro design adds a cool touch to my living room and you can tell it's well finished (which is good because the speaker is quite large). Setting it up was straightforward, and I appreciate the wireless streaming options but the wifi doesn't work with Spotify, only a few selected app that I am not using. It's also meant to work as a soundbar (with dolby atmos) but doesn't have any hdmi or optical port so the only option is to use bluetooth, and delay the TV signal. If you're in the market for a quality speaker with a vintage look, the JBL Authentics 500 is definitely worth considering. Just be aware of its size and the few connectvity specifities around it.

      This speaker is an absolute standout! From the moment you open the box, its impressive size and solid build quality leaves a lasting impression. Setting it up via the app is a breeze, and within minutes, I was streaming music from my iPhone to the speaker with AirPlay, even waking it up from sleep mode. The sound quality is where this speaker truly shines. It easily outperforms it's younger sibling, the Authentics 200. With powerful bass from the bottom mounted subwoofer, even at low volumes, it fills the room with impressive sound quality. When turned up to the maximum volume, it delivers a truly impressive experience. You're able to control the bass, mid & treble levels all from the app and also the volume. While its weight makes it less portable, its sleek design makes it fit into any space, whether it's a modern or retro space. Overall, I can't recommend this speaker enough. I've already been telling all my friends - it's a game changer for speakers!

Its wood finish and cloth has the sense of refined elegance, instantly becoming a visual focal point in my home speaker setup. Whilst being exceptional well-built and designed, it delivers a truly remarkable listening experience. The speaker boasts a rich, room-filling sound characterised by deep, well-controlled bass without muddying the overall presentation. High frequencies remain crisp, ensuring clarity throughout the entire range, even at high volumes. The inclusion of physical bass and treble controls lets the listener fine-tune the sound profile to their exact preferences. Setup and connectivity are remarkably intuitive. The Authentics 500 seamlessly integrates with Wi-Fi networks, offering convenient voice control via Google Assistant and the Bluetooth pairing is straightforward, allowing for quick connections with any devices. However, the speaker does lack portability due to its size and weight which maybe a downside to some users. However, the JBL Authentics 500 excels as a stationary main speaker in the home. Overall, I think the JBL Authentics 500 is an excellent addition for audio enthusiasts seeking a speaker that incorporates refined visual appeal with uncompromising sound quality and connectivity

      Very good , one issue I had is that it wouldn't connect to wifi untill I plugged in an ethernet cord after which I'm assuming it updated for who knows how long

      The JBL Authentics 500 is a masterwork of engineering sure to please even the most demanding "ear"! Solidly built to be a welcome fixture in your home, owing to it's impeccable good looks and retro styling. It has all the functionality of a modern system regarding interfacing with other devices. The Bluetooth engineering works particularly well and delivers beautiful, well balanced sound, from highs to lows.       This is one of the best sounding speakers from jbl i have used yet. I love jbl products. One of the best companies. All there products are great. Haven't had an anything bad from them and I've probably tried every product they have almost.

      This is a beautiful speaker! Its sharp look & modern design is not only classy but nostalgic. The vintage style knobs illuminate as they are dialed up. The trebile and bass knobs also glow when being adjusted. The sound quality is rich and has an unimaginable volume capacity. Full of crisp sound, the bass if desired can be added at full force & not be overwhelming. It is very easy to customize sound to the user's enjoyment. Even at a lower volume setting, one's listening experience is exceptional. While using this speaker your music is elevated similar to that of a music studio.

      This speaker came exceptionally packaged as usual. This piece complements any room and almost looks like a guitar amp sitting on your furniture. Beautiful retro look. The sound is amazing! I turned this up full blast and nothing was distorted, no popping or crackling. Crystal clear sound! My only complaint was a sticker advertisement they had stuck to it. It was ridiculously hard to get off and left the sticky residue behind. Complete overkill with the glue in my opinion. But otherwise, exceptional product. Very happy.
