Product Description

Wireless audio streaming and portability are combined in the Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth Speaker in white smoke with a black strap. This speaker pairs with devices over Bluetooth 4.2 with helpful voice prompts, enabling you to stream your favorite tunes through its 40mm driver and dual passive radiators. It can also pair with a compatible unit for Party Mode, where all speakers play the same track, or Stereo Mode, where one plays the left channel and the other plays the right channel.

IPX7 waterproofing lets you use it by the pool or in the rain and the Bose Connect app enables control from afar via your smartphone. Alternatively, track and volume can be controlled with on-device buttons. When a call comes in, use the SoundLink Micro as a speakerphone, or use it to access Google Assistant or Siri. It's also compatible with Amazon's Echo and Echo Dot. The speaker is equipped with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to six hours of playtime. The SoundLink Micro charges via its micro-USB interface.

Easy Connectivity

The SoundLink Micro has a Bluetooth range of up to 33 feet, so you can enjoy your music without wires. Voice prompts talk you through Bluetooth pairing for simplicity. The speaker remembers the eight most recent devices you've used and can connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time, which allows you to switch between them quickly.

Speakerphone

A built-in microphone lets you use the SoundLink Micro as a speakerphone.

Water Resistance

The speaker boasts an IPX7 rating for splash resistance.

Portability

The SoundLink Micro is compact and light enough at 10 oz for daily travel. This speaker is designed for ease of use and has on-device power and volume buttons, as well as a multi-function button to control music playback or your smartphone's digital assistant. You can recharge the SoundLink Micro through a wall outlet or with most USB power sources.

overall, this is a good portable speaker. The good: Size, very compact. Sound quality is pretty remarkable for such a small speaker. The not so good: The strap for securing the speaker somewhere is awkward at best. It's difficult to latch, it can be frustrating to use. Worse - The volume on the device often has a mind of its own. it seems to randomly select about 50% volume and turning it up via your phone has no affect. so, you must go to the speaker and manually push the volume button to adjust. Thats pretty unhandy if you're not standing next to the speaker at all times.

Have been tracking this item to come online sale for a while. Tested it a little in former Bose shop (closed now) in northern Brisbane Qld. Only issue have is that cannot connect Sound Link Micro Bluetooth speaker via the Bose App V 8.0.5 as for smart devices only. I could easily be corrected on how to though, otherwise via normal Bluetooth connection device works fine which is what is basically designed for.
