We've had ours for a couple years. It's a great product.
Ignore the idiotic complaints. Most of them are not even actual Roku issues. I.e. "doesn't have a web browser". Roku never said it did! So maybe do your own research first, don't blame the product.
"Roku wouldn't connect", that's a problem... with your network.
One guy "replaced the mother-board in his TV" ... are you serious? Hey... maybe next time try the Roku stick on a different TV first.

BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT IF YOU VALUE YOUR TV
SORRY ROKU BUT I AM POSTING THIS REVIEW TO TELL THE WORLD TO BEWARE IF YOU BUY & INSTALL A ROKU STREAMING STICK PLUS. It's going on over a month and haven't heard anything from you. My install was going fine until I got to the screen where you choose pixel quality. I Believe I chose 1080I(?). When I... advanced to the next screen, the screen turned green and quickly flashed a message for a second saying something like "your TV has been compromised...you have to finish......"and then the screen went totally black and bounced me out of the setup mode altogether. I shut the TV off, and tried to start install over but when I turned the TV on, it flashes a picture of the show for a few seconds and then the screen goes black again. The sound stays on but no picture. I tried this process several times and even did a factory reset of the TV and it didn't help. I don't have anything to say about customer service because I haven't received any. The automated robo customer service was useless. The last thing I wanted to do was broadcast my frustration, but what do you do when you get NO SERVICE after asking for it. I returned the stick to the store today but I am stuck with a damaged 43" Samsung flat screen TV that was only 5 years old! I bought a SMART TV to replace it and am happy with it. I will gladly remove this VERY NEGATIVE review if ROKU reimburses me for the TV the I just purchased. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL! - but sending Happy Holiday wishes to everyone!

Constant problems aince I bought in September to replace my third Roku streamer. Constantly not recognized by wifi network (high speed two year old gateway) or 8 year old TV. Remote dead every two weeks (withour using voice commands). If all work this bad, after 11 years of Roku I am done.

This is a known problem and Roku appears to be doing nothing about it. When my first Roku Stick failed to find my WiFi, I replaced it with a new one after trying all of things you do to get the Roku to work again. The new one worked great for 1 month and I had the same issue. My WiFi network was invisible to it. I reset the device to factory settings and that appeared to work for a couple of weeks and I got the same error again. I tried to reset to factory defaults again and that did not work. The device is shot. This is not my WiFi network it is Roku. I suspect they have made some software updates and have completely screwed things up. I have an very old Roku2 and a Roku TV. Both of those work fine. It is not my WiFi network. Read other comments. They know it's a problem and do nothing. After many years of using Roku, I am extremely dissatisfied.

Brought this less than 2 years ago. It just died. Tried connecting the WiFi and it would not connect. I have had plenty of HDMI problems in the preceding months and now it just not work at all. Tried all the fixes on the website and nothing worked. Last Roku I had lasted over 5 years and it worked fine.

I was a skeptic, but I have a 2017 smart tv that NEVER updates, so I really needed this in order to watch more apps. It has all the apps I currently need, and makes my tv faster than it was. My modem is in the same room as the tv, so the response is super fast. Love that I only have one remote now too. So far it's working very well for my needs.

This stick device works very well. Only problem I've had is that I am on my third stick. The laser quit working on the first two. One lasted a little over a year and the second about 5 months. I have to wonder about quality of the stick construction. So, get one if you are not concerned that you may have to buy a replacement every now and then.

Channels cannot load

After the version 10 update, my Roku Streaming Stick+ seems to function, but none of my channels will load not even the Roku Channel. I just get a white box with the channel name that says loading with the swirl, but nothing else. The channels will not load. I have restarted the unit several times with no luck. My other 2 Roku Express are ok. Please help.

Hi Maureen,
Thanks for reaching out. If you are experiencing problems with any or all apps not loading, it is likely from a failed automatic update. Customers have reported doing the following to resolve their issue: * Go to Settings > System > System update > Check Now
The device should then proceed to hang/freeze and reboot. Immediately do the above again, and the update should apply. After it finishes, back out once then: Settings > System > Power > System restart
The device should do the long restart with red screen then go to your Home screen. You should then be able to load and watch channels as usual.
