It needs a space, holder or slot to place the pen, I lose it a lot.

I've seen too many reviews where people are saying it takes too long for DeX to pop up, the cpu is a year old, among other complaints. I love this tablet. Its one of the best devices I've ever used. I'm well acquainted with tech products and this runs smoothly with no problems to date. I feel like people will complain about an 8700k (that's right, we got one!) because its not a 9900k. I use this tablet all day everyday and I am not sure if I will upgrade to the tab S6 when this device begins to die. I feel like buying a new battery would be preferable. The S6 has some marked improvements but it does not seem like such a large improvement besides immense storage capacity, RAM, and a boost in CPU performance. The improvements are nice but it didn't make me feel like I got tricked. I also don't feel like the tab S4 is trying to be a laptop. I personally think its better than a laptop save for the more intensive desktop applications. There are limits to what it can do because of the available applications on the OS. Mobile apps will continue to improve. Even with the limitations such as lack of compatible Adobe desktop apps, as a developer, I found many apps I can use to write code when I'm not using my desktop. There are text editors and even mini IDE's. Once you get used to the DeX layout its not bad at all. I use it everyday without a problem. All this after being spoiled by my desktop and it still does not keep me waiting or frustrate me. My only complaints about this device are that it becomes difficult to see the screen (even at max brightness) in direct sunlight and the speakers could be louder. My S9+ has better sound. Other than that the picture quality is amazing. If I had to choose between high brightness in the few times I hold this in direct sunlight and amazing picture quality I would still pick this. I actually opted to get the Defender series case instead of the keyboard. I prefer durability over practicality in the end, especially when the tablet already has a keyboard on the display. The cameras are actually pretty good. It looks good enough to Skype for chats with family, friends, clients, etc. I love the weight. With the heavy case and the large size of the tablet it makes it impossible for me to forget I'm holding it without making me feel fatigued. It also has great cooling. The only time it gets warm is during heavy gaming and even then it will not get too hot. The performance does not drop due to thermal throttling. Its more likely to drop due to weak internet connection. Overall, I love this tablet very much. I've had this for months and I use it everyday constantly. The battery lasts forever and it charges very fast so I can take a break and come back to a fully charged battery and use it again. I have no idea what the hyper critical reviewers are expecting. Other companies might have better specs but they cost more. Its not like they are the same price but this product has garbage specs. This is more affordable and still has very good performance. It doesn't blow me away but it has not disappointed me either. I was concerned with the 4GB of RAM but it is not an issue at all. Its only an issue when you look at the number and think it should be higher. I would recommend this to anyone wanting something for media consumption and everyday use but not for a desktop experience.

I bought this a month ago and I really like this tablet. I had a galaxy tab pro 12.2 inch screen. I miss that size screen, I am still not use to the smaller screen, they should go back to at least a 12 inch screen.

I bought this a month ago now and I like it the actual functions of the tablet seems great no hanging or freezing that isn't the apps fault but the claims of 16 hours battery life watching videos is bogus fully charged it lasts about 8 hours doing normal run of the mill word processing and occasionally playing low RAM usage games there's no way it'll last 16 hours watching videos if it can't last 16 hours just using microsoft word or having a pdf open with a crochet pattern. It's better then my last LG tablet that would only last 4 hours but at least that came with a detachable battery pack that gave it an additional 4 hours of juice. With the large battery I would imagine you'd need a hefty battery back to recharge it, the bloatware (samsung apps, skyp, weather app and others) that can't be removed to free up space is insanely annoying too though that annoyance is minor, android 9.0 takes away many of the user friendly features that I liked about android 7 & 8 it won't allow me to set the screen timeout beyond 10 min with no feature to turn it off while watching a movie or doing something else where you want the screen to stay on beyond 10 minutes without having to touch it constantly, the security features for keeping the tablet unlocked at set locations like when your at home rarely work either, and the tablet is constantly wanting to dim to 50% which makes it hard to see in sunlight or in a well lit room the only way to over ride it is to turn the self adjusting brightness off which then chews up more battery. It's suppose to remember your light setting for any given environment but it doesn't seem to.

I bought this as a gift for my wife for Mothers Day, it arrived super fast and was everything my wife expected it to be fast response awesome features and extremely long lasting battery. the entire experience was also simply amazing, Samsung truly built an amazing product, have been a fan of Samsung for a very long time and have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a tablet that rivals a laptop.

My Fantastic Son bought this item for me to use as my point of sale devise and a camera...for shooting my Live videos , pictures, and lots of other things for my new startup company. It is very friendly , i am learning new..things to do with it all of the time. Also my grandson Made me a phenomenal card..with greenery, a flower and a hill.. that i just love...using the pencil. I love it..and i love them for turning me on to it! "Huge Ups!".. "all the Way!"

I have spent the last 6 months looking for a quality alternative to the Microsoft/Apple computer empires. I don't WANT to transition to Windows 10, my wife has 4 computers with it and they drive her crazy. I also have a really good iPad, but the lack of a good file system and mouse support has limited its usefulness to me. I have used Android devices for years. They have been promising, but not quite there as far as being good productivity tools. When I read about the Tab S4, I have to say I was pretty skeptical. Several online reviews of the tablet, and especially DeX, were not very positive. They criticized it as being not-quite ready, crashing, and not playing well with various apps. They also said that Android apps themselves are designed for phones and don't work well on a large screen. They are wrong. I spent the afternoon using Microsoft Office and various other productivity apps in full-screen and windowed modes in DeX. No crashes, no problems, it has been rock-solid. The Galaxy Tab S4 has replaced my old PC.If you are so-inclined, you can even use the tablet to do other tasks WHILE you have DeX on running multiple applicatons on a monitor. That's pretty excessive, but you can do it. Several of the reviewers talked about how the S4 slows down when you run multiple versions of Youtube in separate windows. But, who does that, and WHY? From a straight-ahead productivity standpoint, this system has been great, on a tablet that fits in a back pack. Now, a few minor criticisms and points: 1. Everybody says Android tablets are a thing of the past. I sure hope not, because the S4 points the way to a terrific line of PC-capable tablets that could fill a niche for years. BUT, Google is not issuing new OS releases beyond Pie and instead wants everybody to buy a Chromebook. Perhaps Samsung could take Android over? 2. DeX is not invincible. I left DeX on when I turned the tablet off, and it bricked the next morning. I had to do a hard reset to get it back, and since then I always exit DeX before turning it off. 3. Some apps don't run well in DeX. I have an email app that I like that froze in DeX mode. Oh, well. 4. The speakers are good, but not great. I compared the tablet to the Huawei Mediapad M5, and the M5 had obviously better sound and volume. (However, the M5 does not output HDMI and is incapable of driving a monitor without using a mirrorning app over wi-fi, with resulting delays and drops.) Conclusion: The Galaxy Tab S4 was designed for ME, the person who wants an Android to go toe-to-toe with Surface Pros, Macs, and iPads. It does it. I love it!

Although it's a brand new device, I had to restore back to the factory setting within a week due to the issues with the constant lockup and freezes with browser. I am also seeing skewed screen at times, and some flickering screens as well. It still have an issue on face regcognition and Samsung password. Other than that, its fast, and it has gorgeous screen. I hope they fix this issues. I will try for a couple more weeks before I will return it if the issue persist.

I Got the Tab S4 about a month ago for work and I use it everyday. I stream to my Samsung TV have it sync with my S10+ makes life so much easier. I would recommend this tablet to anyone looking for a bigger screen or to simplify their life on the go!
